Tour de France Withdrawal anyone?

If you're like me, you may be having a little bit of Tour de France withdrawal right about now.  Although Contador and Armstrong battled throughout the entired course this year, Lance definitely comes out on top in the sport of philanthropy.

Armstrong is a highlighted philanthropist on faceofphilanthropy.com.  Check out what they had to say about his generosity.

"Lance Armstrong is a world renowned competitive cyclist, holding seven Tour de France titles. Born in Plano, Texas, Armstrong showed early promise, winning the Iron Kids Triathlon at age 13. At the height of his athletic abilities, he was diagnosed with testicular cancer and it seemed as though his career was over, but Armstrong persevered through chemotherapy and went on to win his first Tour de France title in 1999.

Armstrong developed the Livestrong wristband concept, helping to raise money for cancer research. Marketed with cooperation from Nike, the band became an extremely popular fashion accessory in 2004.

Established the Lance Armstrong Foundation, a charitable organization, in 1997. The organization provides fundraising, cancer education, patient advocacy, and research.

Through his charitable organizations and programs, Armstrong has helped raise $55 million for cancer survivors. The effectiveness of the Lance Armstrong Foundation has made Armstrong an international hero."

Whether you're a Lance Armstrong fan or not, you can't deny that his giving sets a great example.

Susan and Steve had been talking to their tax advisor about plans for their family. Susan is very concerned about their family and notes, "I wish that we had a perfect family, but we must admit we don't."

Dear Savvy Senior,
What tips can you recommend for putting old photographs onto a DVD? My wife and I have acquired hundreds of family photos over the years and would like to put them in a format that makes them easier to share with our kids, grandkids and other family members.
