Dec. 31 Is a Big Day for Online Charity

December 31st is more than New Year's Eve - it is the last day of the year that you can get in a tax-deduction by donating to the charity of your choice.

Year-end giving has become part of the holiday spirit for some and a chance to itemize a donation on their taxes for others.

So, whether it's part of your holiday spirit or a simply tax-deduction, time is running out.

However, any donation postmarked by December 31, 2009 or received online at www.comfdn.org by 11:59 p.m. on Dec. 31st will receive a confirmation making it eligible for a deduction this year.

The Community Foundation website has a super-easy DONATE NOW button that allows you to make an online contribution to any non-profit organization in Grant County.

And, if you need help, don't worry, we'll be working through Wednesday this week.  Feel free to come by the office at 505 West Third Street in Marion or call us with any questions at 765.662.0065.  We'd love to hear from you and help you out with your last-minute gifts to charity.
