Living Wills: Planning for the Inevitable

Dear Savvy Living,
Can you recommend some good resources to help my wife and I create our living wills? We want to avoid any artificial life-support at the end of our life. What can you tell me?

According to the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration (TIGTA), J. Russell George, over 1.2 million tax returns are claiming the $8,000 "first-time homebuyer" tax credit. These homebuyers have benefited from credits valued at approximately $8.5 billion.

The world's largest producer of appliances, Whirlpool Corporation, reported a steep decline in sales over the third quarter of 2009. The decline in sales pushed profits down as the Benton Harbor.

Treasurys Down on Rate Concerns

Treasury prices dropped on Friday, pushing yields higher as investors expressed concern over eventual rate increases. Most analysts agree that any increase in Fed rates may be as long as a year into the future.

The 30-year fixed-rate mortgage (FRM) averaged 5.00% for the week, up from last week when it averaged 4.92%. Last year at this time, the 30-year FRM averaged 6.04%.

I remember looking forward to Halloween as a kid.  Remember preparing your costume, dressing up, and coming home with a huge bag of candy?  Do you recall who gave you the raisins and who gave you the full-sized chocolate bar?  I do!

Just because we're not kids anymore doesn't mean we can't look forward to what's ahead.

Life is what we make it.  Start a new tradition, help a friend, celebrate life...be the house that gives out the full-sized chocolate bars!

Building a Tradition of Giving this Halloween,
