Announces Retirement
Embattled
Bank of America (BofA) CEO Ken Lewis announced his retirement this
week, concluding 40 years of service with BofA. Lewis has been under
fire for overseeing the challenging acquisitions of investment giant
Merrill Lynch and the beleaguered mortgage company, Countrywide.

Rise on Drop in Home Sales
Treasurys
rose this week with yields falling as the U.S. employment picture appeared
dimmer. Nonfarm payroll employment continued to decline in September
by 236,000, while the unemployment rate rose to 9.8% according to the
U.S. Department of Labor.

Remain Low Increasing Affordability
Freddie
Mac reported the 30-year fixed rate mortgage (FRM) at the lowest
level in four months this week. This is nearing the all time low for
the 30-year FRM which was set in April of this year.
