1st Annual Cardinal Greenway Auction

Saturday, October 24th
Hontz Hall (Gas City Park)
Doors open at 9:00 a.m.
Auction starts at 10:00 a.m.

 

The Cardinal Greenway auction is a fundraiser for maintenance of the trail in Grant County. 


Also, donations of items to auction such as antiques and garage/household items in good working condition would be greatly appreciated.

 

If you are interested in volunteering to help at the auction or in donating auction items, please contact the Cardinal Greenway staff at

CSA Ribbon cutting

CSA held their grand opening at their new location on the east side of the Marion Courthouse Square on Friday, September 11th.  Executive Director of the Foundation, Liz Wright , was there to join in the festivities.

Sara Lee to Sell Key Businesses
Sara Lee Corp. announced this week plans to sell the company's global body care and detergents businesses to British corporation Unilever.


Treasurys Rise on Drop in Home Sales
Treasurys rose this week after the National Association of Realtors (NAR) reported a decline in existing home sales. Home sales for August dropped 2.7% to 5.1 million, but remain 3.4% above the 4.93 million-unit level in August 2008.


Rates Remain Low Increasing Affordability
Freddie Mac reported long-term mortgage rates remaining low this week, further increasing the affordability of home purchases. The 30-year fixed-rate mortgage (FRM) averaged 5.04%, unchanged from last week when it averaged 5.04%.
