The Community Foundation successfully completes Lilly GIFT Phase Four raising $100,000 locally to receive $300,000 for operations from Lilly Endowment Inc. $1.2 million is raised to receive another $1.2 toward Community Foundation Endowed Funds.
The Community Foundation supports and acts as a neutral convener of Framework for Change.
The Community Foundation begins community strategic planning sessions for CAPE (Community Alliances to Promote Education). |

The Community Foundation receives a $50,000 CAPE Planning Grant for community convening to identify Grant County's greatest educational need.
The Community Foundation awards $300,000 to the CAPE Consortium which includes all Grant County schools public school systems.
Forty organizations apply for the Community Foundation’s $600,000 impact grant funding. $200,000 is awarded to St. Martin DePorres Community Center and $400,000 is given as a challenge to the Grant County Family YMCA toward their building campaign.
The Community Foundation receives a $5 million CAPE (Community Alliances to Promote Education) grant for Grant County with Indiana Wesleyan University acting as the grantee with The Community Foundation’s endorsement. |

An updated strategic plan is created for the Community Foundation.
The Community Foundation hosts a grant writing workshop for area not for profit agencies and organizations.
The Community Foundation successfully completes Lilly GIFT Phase Five operating challenge raising $100,000 locally to receive another $100,000. In total, the Community Foundation receives nearly $300,000 from Lilly Endowment Inc. matching a like amount raised for unrestricted endowment.

The Community Foundation hires a professional investment consultant to monitor the Foundation's growing investment portfolio.
Revised investment and spending policies for the Community Foundation are enacted.
The Community Foundation grows to a total of 185 funds.

The 20th Anniversary of the Community Foundation of Grant County, Inc. is celebrated. To mark the occasion a special $20,000 grant is awarded at random to a person attending the Community Foundation's Annual Meeting.
The Community Foundation provides a $40,000 last dollar needed grant to close out the Boys and Girls Club of Grant County new facility campaign.
The Community Foundation participates in the United Way 4-Community grant for Grace House.
The Community Foundation exceeds 200 funds with $14 million in endowed funds.

The Community Foundation applies for and receives $800,000 in funding from the CAPE Three Grant.
Project Leadership staff funded by CAPE Two Grant move move to The Community Foundation Building at 505 West Third Street.
A Statement of Ethical Principals is adopted by the Community Foundation.
The Community Foundation grows to 225 funds.
The Community Foundation’s total assets reach $17.7 million.
An $800,000 grant was received by the Community Foundation from Lilly Endowment Inc. for the CAPE Three Grant to further sustain existing CAPE Two programming.
The Community Foundation receives $250,000 from Lilly for Sustaining Resource Development to help the Community Foundation become self-sufficient.

The Community Foundation Board hires Dawn Brown as Community Development Officer through a grant from Lilly Endowment, Inc.
A new Community Scholarship Liaison position is created by Project Leadership and community partners.
The Community Foundation grows to 240 funds.

The Community Foundation Awards the second annual Spirit of Philanthropy Awards.
Community Foundation Total Assets reach $18 million.The total number of funds grows to nearly 250.

Total assets exceed $18 million with 243 individual funds. $1.3 million is distributed in grants, program support, and scholarships. |

2009 |
The Community Foundation celebrates its 25th Anniversary!
$1.6 million is received in new gifts with $1.8 million in payouts. Total number of funds reaches 245. |

2010 |
The property behind the Foundation office building is acquired and dilapidated structures are removed improving the appearance of the neighborhood as well as providing additional space for parking.
Total assets reach over $19 million with more than 275 funds.
The Foundation is one of the first to be revonfirmed in compliance with the Ethical and Operational Standards for Indiana Community Foundations. |
