Liz Wright has been the Executive Director of the Community Foundation for more than eighteen years. Liz earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Indiana Wesleyan University , and has taken numerous courses from the Indiana University School of Philanthropy. Liz is currently serving as a state and national reviewer for the Community Foundation National Standards. She also is Chairperson of the Indiana State Committee of Community Foundations. Liz has traveled to Eastern Europe and Russia as a member of the Community Building Delegation promoting good will and a better understanding of nonprofit organizations. A Grant County native, Liz has two sons and four grandchildren.

Dawn Brown is the Community Development Officer at the Community Foundation. Dawn is a native of Grant County and has a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Ball State University and a Master’s Degree in Management from Indiana Wesleyan University. Dawn, her husband Jerry, and their sons are actively involved in the community in an effort to make Grant County a better place to live and work.

Sandy Rogers is the receptionist at the Community Foundation. She came to the Foundation after 22 years of service with Marion Community Schools. Sandy and her husband Charlie are natives of Grant County and are active at Hanfield Church. They have a daughter and son-in-law in New York, a son and daughter-in-law in Indianapolis along with 2 granddaughters in Indianapolis. |

Sherri Rush has enjoyed being the CFO at the Community Foundation since 2002. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Indiana Wesleyan University. She is active with Mt. Olive United Methodist Church, Christmas City Walkway of Lights, the American Society of Women Accountants, KIDS HOPE USA, and Grant County 4-H. Sherri is happy to share her Grant County home with her husband and teenaged daughter and son.

Sherrie Stahl has been with the Foundation since 1998 and is the Community Foundation’s Office & Program Manager. Along with the day-to-day office management, Sherrie manages our Grant, Youth Grant, and Scholarship Programs. She has participated in the Indiana University Center on Philanthropy’s Fund Raising School and obtained Webmaster Certification from Ivy Tech Community College. Sherrie is a Grant County native, and lives in Sweetser with her husband, Ron.

Tammy Pearson
Director - Project Leadership |
Tammy Pearson joined the Project Leadership team in August 2007 and serves as its director. She has lived in Grant County since 1991, the year she graduated from Ball State University with a bachelor degree in journalism and started her journalism career at the Marion Chronicle-Tribune. She worked for the newspaper for 16 years in a variety of roles, from reporting to graphics, eventually becoming its editor where she emphasized community journalism and news about local people and issues. In February 2007, she transferred within the Gannett company from the Chronicle-Tribune to The Star Press in Muncie where she served as executive editor until returning to Marion to join the Community Foundation. In her new role, Tammy continues to strive for positive change for three of her passions – children, education and Grant County. Tammy and her husband, Phil, have two children and are pleased to call Grant County home.

Steve Gibson is the Education Liaison for Project Leadership at the Community Foundation of Grant County. Steve was born and raised in central Indiana and has lived in Marion with his wife, Tricia, for the past seven years. He is a graduate of Ball State University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in English. Before joining Project Leadership in April 2008, he had worked in Marion Community Schools since his semester student teaching at Justice Middle School in 2003. For the last four years, he had worked as a literacy specialist at Lincoln Elementary School. Steve is excited to continue his work promoting literacy in Grant County as Project Leadership develops new projects and programs in cooperation with local schools. |

Linda Lowe is the Assistant Director and Community Scholarship Liaison for Project Leadership at the Community Foundation. She has been a resident of Grant County for 13 years and has 30 years of business experience. Linda has a degree from Indiana Wesleyan University in Business Management. She has been married to her husband, Steve, for 29 years, has two children, and four grandchildren. Linda has a passion for youth of Grant County and is excited about working to promote education.

Alisha Shannon is the assistant to the director of Project Leadership. Alisha is a Grant County native, Mississinewa High School graduate and a life-long resident of the community. She is a 2007 Indiana Wesleyan University graduate where she received a bachelor degree in business. Alisha believes that positive change in children’s lives comes from caring people and that the community has a responsibility to help guide youths in shaping their futures.
